Shanghai Yu Garden is a famous garden in the south of the Yangtze River. It is a private garden of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. Once known as "Qi Xiujia in the Southeast", it fully demonstrates the architectural and design style of Chinese classical gardens.

·From 1842 to 1860, the Yuyuan Garden was severely damaged by the outbreak of war.

·From 1875 to the eve of liberation, the Yuyuan pavilion was worn out, the rockery was dilapidated, the pool was dry, the trees were withered, and the landscape was annihilated.

·Since 1956, the Yuyuan Garden has undergone a large-scale renovation (10), which lasted for five years and was opened to the public in September 1961.

·In 1959, Yuyuan was listed as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.

·In 1961, Yuyuan began to open to the public.

·In February 1982, Yuyuan was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit.

Up to now, the layout of the Yu Garden has been exquisite. In a limited area, there are dozens of buildings such as Chuntang, Yuhuatang, Wanhualou, Dajiaoshan, and Ancient Stage. Visitors walk between the winding paths and can see strange peaks and stones. The pond marsh stream and the ancient trees of the flower trees are very unique.
