The Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses is one of the world’s most significant archaeological discoveries in the 20th century. Found by farmers in 1974, this vast army of soldiers and chariots was created in the 3rd century BC to accompany China’s first emperor into the afterlife.
Ancient City Wall Built in 1370, it is the best preserved and largest-scaled ancient city wall in the world. It served as the military defensive system in the ancient time which can be traced back to Tang Dynasty.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda It is a well-preserved holy place for Buddhist with a history of over 1300 years. Xuanzang, the eminent monk of Tang Dynasty, When he was back home from India, for storing Buddhist text and figures of Buddha, he built it and named it Goose Pagoda. This site was added to the World Heritage List on June 22, 2014.
Dacien Temple It is notable for the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The Temple was originally built by an accomplished monk Xuanzang, whose story was widespread in civil socity in many dynasties and the famous legendary story Journey to the West was inspired by his experience.
