Suzhou has a history dating back to 514 BC and is often referred to as ‘Venice of the East’ and ʻParadise on Earthʼ. It’s famous all over the world for its silk and gardens.  

(1)08:00 The driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Shanghai(please reserve the name and exact address of your hotel) and then drive you to Suzhou Lingering Garden.  

(2)10:00 Your trip will start with a visit to the famous UNESCO-listed Lingering Garden. It’s built in AD 1593 and one of the four most famous gardens of China. Since 1997, it has been inscribed on the World Cultural Heritage List. Here you can see fascinating landscapes and waterscapes, architectural beauties and limestone rockeries, beautiful bonsai garden, mountain forest scenery...  

(3)11:30 You will visit Lanliyuan Silk Museum as China is renowned for its exquisite silk and Suzhou is famous for its silk skills. Suzhou has the richest silk historical relics and remains in the world, and a large number of silk production techniques which are listed as World Intangible Cultural Heritage.   

In the museum, you can learn about development history and exquisite artworks of Suzhou silk.   

(4)13:00 You will visit Shantang Street, which has a history of more than 1200 years, and used to be the No. 1 street in Suzhou full of chambers of commerce and banks. It is still one of the most prosperous streets in Suzhou today.   

You may arrange lunch at your own expense. Recommend you dim sum and local food.   

After lunch, you will take a boat ride from Shantang Street Ancient Theater Pier to Hanshan Temple Jiangfeng Bridge Pier.  

(5)15:00 You will visit Hanshan Temple which has a history of more than 1500 years.  Here you can see a large number of exquisite Buddhist buildings and stone tablets. Afterwards, the driver will drive you to Suzhou Holiday Inn Taihu Lake Hotel.   

In the evening, you can enjoy free time at leisure or join an optional activity.  

*Optional Activity: Suzhou Ancient Canal Cruise.  

Tonight you can take part in an optional activity to take Suzhou Ancient Canal Cruise (not included, paid on tour), enjoying Suzhou’s night view with Suzhou Pingtan Opera.  

Suzhou is a city with a history of more than 2500 years, so that you can see different historical sites here.

(2)08:00 After you check out the hotel, the driver will meet you at the lobby of the hotel and then drive you to Tiger Hill.  

(3)09:00 Your will visit Tiger Hill which was once known as the "No. 1 scenic spot in Suzhou". Tiger Hill or Huqiu  is a hill in Suzhou. It is a tourist destination that is known for its natural environment and historic sites. The hill's name is said to come from the fact it looks like a crouching tiger. Another legend states that a white tiger appeared on the hill to guard it following the burial of King Helü.   

Here you can see different historical sites. The most famous one is the Tiger Hill Pagoda, known as the "No. 1 Leaning Pagoda in China". Walking here, it seems to be able to talk to Chinese people thousands of years ago.   

Afterwards, the driver will drive you to Shanghai Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town(approx. 2 hours).  

(4)13:00 You will visit Shanghai Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town, which is praised as ‘Venice of Shanghai’. With its picturesque waterways, traditional houses, and dozens of stone bridges, Zhujiajiao Water Town has been one of the four famous historical and cultural towns and the best-preserved ancient water town in Shanghai.   

You may arrange lunch at your own expense, recommend you dim sum and local food over here.  

Afterwards, the driver will drive you to Shanghai Harbour Plaza Metropolitan Hotel.  

In the evening, you can enjoy free time at leisure or join an optional activity.  

*Optional Activity: Shanghai Circus World ERA Acrobatic Show.  

Tonight you can take part in an optional activity to watch a superb and thrilling Chinese Acrobatic Show, “ERA: The Intersection of Time” (not included, paid on tour, approx. 1 hour). ERA Show is closed on Monday, so it will be changed into Shanghai Huangpu River Night Cruise.  

Today you will enjoy a full day in Shanghai – a city of some 26 million people and an important global financial hub.

(2)09:00 After you check out the hotel, the driver will meet you at the lobby of the hotel and then drive you to the Bund. The Bund is a famous waterfront area in Shanghai thatʼs lined with colonial architecture of European design. It is perhaps the best representation of a Western influence of a bygone era.  

(3)10:30 Following visit to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Modern, electric street filled with shops, eateries, and lovely restaurants tucked away up above the street level. Some can be tricky to find but are worth the effort.  

(4)11:30 You will visit Shanghai City God Temple (Chenghung Miao) Market. It has a history of more than 600 years, attracting million travelers to visit and shopping here. Here you can see typical architecture in Ming dynasty.   

You may arrange your lunch at your own expense over here.  

And then you can enjoy afternoon tea-drinking.  

(5)14:00 You will then visit Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower, which is the landmark building in Shanghai and was once the tallest building in mainland China with a total height of 468 meters.   

Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Shanghai, miss it and you miss Shanghai. The classic route is: Sightseeing Galleria (263m)--Transparent observatory (259m) --Shanghai Urban History And Development Museum(0m).   

Afterwards, You may finish your tour over here or join an optional activity.  

*Optional Activity: Shanghai Huangpu River Cruise.  

Tonight you can take part in an optional activity to take night cruise on the Huangpu River (not included, paid on tour).
