• Day 1:
  Arrive in Beijing, China
  Upon arrival in Beijing Airport (PEK) you will be met and transferred to your hotel. As today is an arrival day, there are no activities planned – depending on your arrival time, the day is at your leisure.
• Day 2:
  Imperial Beijing
  Set out with your guide to discover the iconic imperial treasures of Beijing. Stand in Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world, before moving on to the Forbidden City.
• Day 3:
  The Great Wall
  Today’s excursion is one of the most anticipated of our trip – a visit to the Great Wall of China. Often recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a staggering feat and abucket-list destination.
• Day 4:
  Beijing to Xi’an
  This morning, we will begin our day at Temple of Heaven, considered the holiest of Beijing’s Imperial temples. You’ll then explore the hutongs of Beijing on the backs of rickshaws, a traditional mode of transport in Beijing. These rapidly disappearing traditional neighborhoods offer a glimpse into the Beijing of the past.
• Day 5:
  Terracotta Army
  Today another highly anticipated icon of the country awaits - the famous and awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors. We will visit the enigmatic ranks of the Terracotta Warriors in the company of our professional and experienced local guide.
• Day 6:
  Xi'an
  Today we’ll visit the incredible Wild Goose Pagoda. This temple was originally used to keep the Buddhist scripts which were carried by the great monk Yi Jing from the Indian area and over time it has become a holy place for pilgrims.
• Day 7:
  Xi'an to Shanghai
  After breakfast, say farewell to Xi’an and depart (by train) for Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.
• Day 8:
  Shanghai
  This evening is at your leisure - you might want to join an optional cruise on a Huangpu River night cruise to appreciate a beguiling view of Shanghai’s illuminated skyline.
• Day 9:
  Suzhou Water Town
  After breakfast, embark on a tour of Tongli Ancient Water Town as you drift down a canal to visit the old town and experience its profound and well-preserved ancient residences.
• Day 10:
  Shanghai to Yichang
  Today we’ll travel to Yichang, the gateway to the Yangtze River. This is the starting point of our Yangtze River Cruise, your home for the next four nights.
• Day 11:
  Xiling Gorges and Three Gorges Dam
  Start your morning with an early-bird tea or coffee and a traditional Tai Chi lesson, led by our certified Tai Chi Master and work up an appetite for the buffet breakfast.
• Day 12:
  Shennong Stream,Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge
  Shennong Stream on a sampan - a traditional longboat rowed by expert Tujia boatmen. As we gently float through this stunning riverine gorge flanked by verdant forest, you’ll see evidence of early settlements in the form of hanging coffins stowed high within the limestone cliffs.
• Day 13:
  Fuling
  The 816 Underground Project is the world’s largest artificial military cave, an intriguing secret, hidden in the mountains of Fuling.. Now as the secrets of military caves are revealed, you will be able to look at the true face of 816 project hidden for 50 years.
• Day 14:
  Chongqing to Chengdu
  Relax and enjoy your final breakfast before disembarking in Chongqing, then continue on your journey (by train) towards Chengdu. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and drop off your luggage before heading towards the sprawling People’s Park, the largest public park in the city.
• Day 15:
  Chengdu
  Enjoy a heart-warming adventure when you come face to face with beautiful giant pandas at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. In addition to witnessing these beautiful,once endangered creatures, you’ll also get a chance to spot the elegant black-necked cranes, white storks and other varieties of panda that call this sanctuary home.
• Day 16:
  Depart Chengdu
  After breakfast, your tour comes to an end and you’ll be transferred to Chengdu Airport (CTU) for your departure flight.
